So, instead, here are a couple more FOs that I submitted to Nerd Wars.
First up, the awesomest baby hat ever...
Seriously, what baby doesn't need a flaming hat?! As ever, this is not a hint that I'm having a baby, it's just that sometimes baby knits are so much fun *laughs* Due to the lack of aforementioned baby, I have called into action my trusty soft toy to model the hat for me ;)
Silly, I know, but still - cool hat, right?
Then there's this little guy
My first monster. I love him (although I'm not keeping him). He's only little, which caused some fiddliness, but he's just adorable, if I do say so myself *laughs*
And it's Friday, so you know what to do... Visit Tami's, Natural Suburbia and Wisdom Begins in Wonder. Have a great weekend
love both of these!!! do you know someone having a baby? these two would make the most fabulous welcome gift!
ReplyDeleteExcellent projects. I LOVE that baby hat, I want one on my size! And your monster is great. I hate when things are small and fiddly, but he's worth it.
ReplyDeleteGreat FO's!
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen your monster in the challenge threads but I did see your hat. Looking forward to the monster write up.
I think your monster has a lovely character. It's not at all monstery!
ReplyDeleteLove the flaming hat! Different and exciting for a baby.
ReplyDeleteBaby knits are a lot of fun! I love knitting little baby sweaters because they usually come out great, but take so little time to knit. I've never seen that pattern before though, it looks awesome! Too bad you couldn't make it in an adult size. The monster is also adorable. I can't wait to see your cowl!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! I love the hat! it's awesome and you've given me a great idea. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThe hat is adorable and I just love the little monster! I have been seeing those things all over Ravelry & in the blogosphere. I'm going to have to break down and knit a couple for my nephews.
ReplyDeleteWell done! I love the monster :)
ReplyDeleteThat's the perfect baby hat that should be made for an adult-sized head.
ReplyDeleteAwesome hat! Teddy looks very pleased with it. I love your monster, too. I really need to get going and make some of those. I make a little squee sound every time I see one. That's a sign, right?
ReplyDeleteWow...your first picture actually looks like the hat is glowing. It's fantastic. My brother's little guy would have needed that hat when he was a baby. He already had the matching shirt :)
ReplyDeleteLove your model :) The hat is fantastic!!
ReplyDeleteI love that monster. I really should pick up that book.
ReplyDeleteYour first monster is scary! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteThe hat is AWESOME! I like the monster, too.
ReplyDeleteThat hat is amazing. Definitely worth knitting, with or without a baby.
ReplyDeleteAh- scary, scary monster!
ReplyDeleteThe hat is cute and I really like your little monster!
ReplyDeleteBOTH awesome!!! I have the monster book and have been trying to wait to finish something else.... but I'm sorely tempted now!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute hat, I know a little dude who might need me to knit one of those!

ReplyDeletenow i think i need to abandon the white lacey baby stuff i was making for a friend in favour of a FLAMING HAT!!!
Love the flaming hat ... I too try to make non-traditional baby stuff!
ReplyDeleteOhhh I am loving that hat and the monster
ReplyDeleteHoly awesome. They are both just great!!! Fun model too...
ReplyDeleteI love both but especially the hat! So cool! I once knit a baby outfit that was a pig and had no baby so I put it on a teddy bear. Your model makes perfect sense to me.
