Work In Progress Wednesday Number 13

Number 13 huh? Unlucky for some, but I'm not superstitious and I have some progress, so maybe not so unlucky *laughs*

The only project I've been working on this week is the blanket. I've really felt like knitting something so simple and mindless lately, so I decided to just go with it ;) I've done 2 and a half more sections since last week, and I'm still loving it.

I have also been using it to practice knitting by feel alone, as it is just garter stitch, and I can now knit it without looking. I'm quite pleased with this

Head over to Tami's for more links, plus it's her 52nd WIP Wednesday so go say congrats ;)

  7. Good work on modifying the sock. But what does it say about me if your "gibberish" makes perfect sense to me?

  8. YAY on the heel - don't you just love socks?! The blanket is coming along great too! Now you can really watch TV while you knit - sometimes mindless knitting is the best thing in the world...

  11. When I first started knitting again, I made a log cabin blanket and my niece loved it so much. I gave it to her and at 7 she still snuggles under it.

I hope yours brings you as much joy.

The sock is looking good, keep it up!

  18. Getting a sock heel right the first time -- that's a major feeling of knitterly power, isn't it?

The socks look great and so does the blanket. Sometimes it's nice to have a mindless project that just keeps on going and going.

  19. Hooray for accomplishing your first short row heel! Both projects are looking great. I love the mindless knitting that a garter stitch projects offers, although I have yet to learn how to knit without looking down at my knitting. Neat trick!

  22. Your WIPs are looking fab - I'm really enjoying the blanket each week - it's looking great.

I can knit simple stitches without looking - but that's where my Noro scarf keeps getting me into trouble - the yarn is so inconsistent that I get to a skinny but and knit stitches together :)

And you are all making me feel I should learn to make some socks for MY husband - you're putting me to shame!
