Work In Progress Wednesday Number 24

Just a group shot today, as nothing has progressed enough to warrant its own picture ;)

Cria - well, I'm not surprised to say that another week has gone by with very little work on this. I keep meaning to just focus and get on with it, but after a few interminably long rows I get fed up ;)

Sock - about half an inch of progress. I tend to only pick this up when I can't decide what else to knit *laughs* I would like to get on with it, so I think a long car or train journey will be in my future - knitting socks seems the best plan for a train journey, otherwise I worry about poking people with my long needles *grins*

Fuzzy Ballet Sweater - probably the project with the most progress so far. I've finished the left front, but haven't cast on for the right yet. It's a fairly quick and easy knit, which is good as I need to be seeing some progress on something at least!

Hitchhiker -  as the rows get longer, it's hard to see the length increase as quickly, but I think I've completed another 6 "teeth" since last week. In fact, I need to switch to longer needles as I started it on a bizarrely short pair and I'm running out of space *laughs*

The reason for the lack of discernible progress is, of course, the time spent working on projects that I can't blog about. It's frustrating, but the recipients of the secret projects wouldn't be too surprised if their gifts had been showing up here every week for a progress update!

Book - another Christopher Brookmyre (one of my favourite authors). "All Fun and Games Until Somebody Loses an Eye". Great title; easy and enjoyable book. I tend to go for books I have already read when I'm busy/tired/stressed/not feeling 100% - they require so much less attention *grins*

So, that's it from me, but you know where to go for more works in progress and yarn along posts ;)

  1. Wow you've loads on the go. I can never just stick to one thing but it does mean it takes longer to finish anything doesn't it :)

  3. Sounds like my corner of the world...so many projects going on at once! Whenever I can't decide what ot work on...I start a new one!

  4. Lots of little bits of progress = big progress, IMO

  5. At least there's a bit of progress on each thing, kind of equal to completing one big thing in my eyes ;)
I Hitchhiked until 3am last night lol

  6. You and I are similar about plugging along in our projects!! We will be each other's cheerleaders, okay?

  7. Sounds like lots of progress. Funny, I just packed my socks for my train trip this morning, so you're right - it is the perfect transit knit!

  8. Secret knitting is hard on the blog. You did get some done on each of the projects so that's really all that matters.

  9. It's so frustrating putting lots of work into projects you can't talk about! I've been putting off starting mine partly because of it, which only means I'll be under more time pressure and will get less blogging done! Should probably do something about that ;)

It's still a great pile of projects, and the ballet sweater looks like it's coming on nicely. It's a gorgeous colour and at least you have something to knit that you're enjoying!

  10. LOL I understand...I'm blogging about my seeeeekrit knitting and just hoping the recipients don't read my blog. I don't really work on multiple WIPs though, so I fear if I didn't post my blog would be dormant.

Your projects look great :) I love the pile of color.

  13. That is a lot of projects. I like having lots of projects going so when you get bored with one or need to wait to continue, you can switch to another. Of course that also means lots of unfinished items...

  14. You've got lots going on, will be anxious to see things grow enough to get a picture. I know the feeling though. thanks for the idea of naming....sometimes one pops right into my head, but thus far not so much. lol

  19. You tire me out just with these WIP's and then you say that there are more but are secret. When do you have the time!!!!!

  20. I tend to work on 50 projects at once. I get bored easily, so constantly working on a different thing helps :-) I totally understand the "can't show the progress of that project," and so I end up posting about stuff for the babes...since they don't know how to go to my blog yet :-)

  21. You have been getting lots done! It doesn't always "show" but you did a great job showing it all!

  22. A little bit on each still gets the job done, right? Won't it be funny if all of these get done at about the same time and you suddenly feel like there's not enough going on? (I'm sure that wouldn't last!)

I hope the secret projects are going well, too.

  23. I'm with you on that secret knitting stuff but at least you're getting a bit done on the others, as well.

  24. I'm the same way with the projects that I can't sure. It is a little blog frustrating.

  25. I feel your secret project pain, I have a couple of things ready to send off for a swap and can't blog them until they get there

  26. Try not to worry about the unfinished projects! They will get finished, or not. But it's great that you are making secret gifty things too, even if you can't take pictures.

  27. As long as your making progress... that's good news!

  28. Well done on your progress. I'm intrigued by the book and will have to look out for it.

  29. Great picture, and it sounds like when you add it all up, you've made a lot of progress! and I hope we will see the secret projects at some point in the future!
