This is sock 2 *grins*
Do you ever get a project that just won't let you put it down? Because I don't think I have picked anything else up this week. Hence finishing the first sock relatively quickly. And being sensible and casting on for sock 2 right away.
I think part of it was the pattern - it was easy to get sucked into the "just one more repeat" mindset *laughs*
Based on the colours and pattern, these socks are hereby known as my Ice Cream Waffle Socks (ok, so the blue is a slight addition to the neopolitan ice cream look, but never mind!)
One thing about these, I cast on for the smallest size as I have small feet, but the pattern hasn't got much stretch. So I have made the leg a little shorter than normal, which means sock one only used 1/4 of the yarn. 2 pairs of socks from this one skein might be possible, which is awesome *grins*
I love your socks. They look amazing. I really like that pattern too. It may bring me back to my socks languishing at the bottom of my WIP drawer. Problem is, I have enough hand knitted socks to get me through the week. I need to motivate myself a bit to get knitting them again BEFORE my current ones start to wear out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely texture to the socks! and two pairs??? that is incredible! That doesn't happen very often for me.
ReplyDeleteImpressive speed and I love the look of that finished sock - awesome!
ReplyDeleteI often get that one more repeat mindset. It affects me with colourwork charts too. What happy socks! And even better if you can get two. Might look awesome with contrasting colour cuffs, toes and afterthought heels too?!
ReplyDeleteWow what gorgeous socks, almost good enough to eat :) Love the colours and the design.
ReplyDeleteAli x
Cool socks!
ReplyDeleteAmazing. I love the color, not Neapolitan, more like bubble gum or birthday cake?
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful stitch pattern and yarn! Your socks are very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWoo-hoo! My monkey socks were kind of like that until I got to the heel and now they're just kind of obnoxious until I get to the toe. ::sigh:: They do go quickly, moreso than plain stockinette but I knit so much faster than I purl.
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern. I have such big feet that I get shy of casting on a pattern that doesn't have any give.
ReplyDeleteThose socks are very cool, I wish I had a pair :-)
ReplyDeleteLove the pattern! Great job.
ReplyDeleteSock number two already?! I don't blame you though, that pattern looks additive, almost as addictive as the colorway
ReplyDeleteLove the name! HOORAY for sock two! I hope that it continues to knit as quickly as the first did!
ReplyDeleteyeah for second socks!!!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a happy color! Love the pattern in this variegated yarn.
ReplyDeletevery pretty natalie, and wow! 2 pair!
ReplyDeleteOh those are SOOO pretty!
ReplyDeleteMy gosh you're a sock knittin' whirlwind! I have yet to CO for mine. It so funky neat. The texture is terrific and the color way eye catchy.
