Um... Works Not In Progress Wednesday!

So, I have no progress to show this week!

This is partly because the weather is so gorgeous that knitting is the last thing on my mind ;) Finally having some sun has a great effect on my mood but a stalling effect on crafting. But I'm ok with this, I like the sun *laughs*

I have done a couple of repeats of my Starpower socks (naming credit to Vanessa *grins*) and that's pretty much it.

See, I'm even recycling the picture, because not enough has changed to warrant a new one *laughs* I do like this picture though, it really shows off the yarn and the pattern nicely.

The weather forecast is lovely for the rest of the week, so I don't imagine I'll get much more knitting done. I am reading a lot more though - sitting in the garden in the sun with a book is one of my favourite things *smiles*

To read about actual crafting progress, head on over to Tami's and Ginny's *smiles*

  1. I love the sun and I guess that's why I would never leave South Africa. We are in winter but the winter sun we get is even better, it warms you to the bones instead of making you hot and bothered.

    Enjoy it while it lasts

  2. I love the weather this week!!!!! Such a nice change. Although I'm running out of summer clothes already, I was prepared for the usual British "summer" :-) Happy reading and knitting when you get to it ;-)

  4. Haha, I definitely notice a downturn in craft progress once the sun comes out. Especially now it's winter and I want to take advantage of any nice days. Enjoy!

  5. Yes, when it is hot I tend to lay off the knitting as well! Although, I was knitting my son's wool hat the other day, and I swear it was close to 100 degrees I think maybe it was because I couldn't move to do anything else :-)

  9. I know the feeling. I haven't knit all week either, only because I have been so busy. Take advantage of the weather tho, it's scorching here!

  10. I hear you on the knitting on the backburner when it's sunny. To be fair we haven't been blessed with nice weather in the South East this year so we should make the most of t, right?

  14. Starpower - nice name. Reminds me of a wee boy who once told me his four chickens were called Milly, Molly, Mandy and Wingpower. Classic :-)

  15. Enjoy the good weather! We're under severe storm watches, so the weather looks very promising for knitting :)

  19. I'm in much the same boat - a bit of a rethink of projects, the start of a new hat - but I think we're allowed to blame the sun, after so much winter knitting weather in mid summer and a spot of proper summer should be celebrated doing non knitting things :D
