More Finished Objects

Surprisingly, after posting a batch of FOs last Friday, I actually have a couple more to share this week *grins* I haven't posted them before, because they were both started and finished last weekend.

I was feeling somewhat uninspired with the things I'm working on, and pretty much just wanted to have a play for a bit. So I decided to use some of the goodies I was given by my colleague.

I posted about the bizarre King Cole Exotique, wondering what on earth to do with it. Tink very helpfully mentioned in the comments that there was a cute baby hoodie on Ravelry made from it. Seemed like an excellent plan. So this:

*laughs* I should explain - I'm not pregnant and babies are not currently on the agenda (hence the stuffed toy model!) however I really enjoyed making this little baby hoodie. It was a quick and easy knit, using yarn that I really can't picture in an adult project. I have a few more bits and pieces from the yarn I was given that may well become baby clothes... I can always donate them after all, it only took an afternoon ;)

    Super fast projects. I have to say I couldn't picture the blue yarn as anything either, but it does look cute as a tiny hoodie

    and thanks, I know have Circle of Life from the Lion King stuck in my head, although my brain is helpfully switching out words to make it a song about yarn. I suspect by the time I've driven to Bristol this morning, I will have a full song written :)

    I love the neck warmer and that hoodie is just adorable. With all of the build a bears being adored by kids, you almost don't need a baby to knit that size.

    Quick things are always great to do to boost your morale. Love the baby sweater! I have never used a ruffle yarn, it might have to be a to do for me this year.

    You are very right about the blue yarn. Just not suitable for self-respecting adults. Chilly teddy bears are a different story. You've done a lovely job with the sweater. Tell the model his is "beary" cute. I know, ugh! But I couldn't resist. The urge was *ahem* unbearable.

    Love both projects! I'm one of those people who don't understand the ruffle yarn or anything like but, but I love the project you used for it! Also, LOVE the little teddy bear sweater. You can always gift it if someone is having baby!

    You never know with the baby stuff. I was itching to make baby stuff a couple of years ago and then "suddenly" my sister was expecting.

    The hoody is very cute... whether it's for a baby or a bear. :-)
