Project Monogamy
Surprisingly for me, I have only been working on one project this week. It's pretty close to being finished now that I'm on the last wedge. I'm really enjoying this knit, watching the yarn change through its colours is fun, and I'm a big fan of garter stitch when there is enough of a pattern to keep the interest *smiles*
Of course, project monogamy leaves little to write about on a Wednesday *laughs*
As for the book - I'm currently sticking with my young adult dystopia theme, with The Maze Runner. I enjoyed the story but I have to say the writing is not the best. Definitely not up to the high standards of some of the books in this genre that I have read. Having said that, I do plan to read the rest of the trilogy, so it can't be too bad!
Pop over to Tami's and Ginny's for more lovely knitting and reading content, and have a lovely day *smiles*

I tend to be pretty monogamous with my knitting too, it feels like I get things knitted up faster that way. Having said that I've just posted about casting on a third project last night so maybe I should go back to following your example!
ReplyDeleteLoving the colour changes in the yarn, perfect for the pattern
There's really something mesmerising about garter stitch so long as stripes keep emerging isn't there - I know I would feel exactly the same as you! Beautiful shape too :-)
ReplyDeleteI read "The Maze Runner" earlier this year and loved it, but I agree, the writing is not the best.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you on the Wingspan. I'm working on it myself, and it's wonderfully relaxing. The only time I have to count anything is when I cast on for the next wedge - I can live with that :)
I have to say that I haven't been reading much lately. There is a book on my night stand though. When the librarian in our school got rid of old and worn out books, I discovoured a copy of a following part of Abby Lynn. It's a story for teenagers but who cares. I loved the first part. :-)
ReplyDeleteWingspan is such a lovely pattern, one of these days I'm going to have to give it a try. Especially because yours turned out so pretty!
ReplyDeletewingspan really is a lovely pattern! one of my current projects (no monogamy for me!) is a massive, dragon-sized wingspan in yummy worsted weight yarn - the comfort food of knitting ;)
ReplyDeletealso, i love the first pic in your post, very... atmospheric, for lack of a better word. brilliant!
It looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think you must have a lot of willpower to only have one project on the needles. Sometimes I wish I could find the strength for that!
Love it! Those colors are some of my favs! I really need to try the wing span shawl, I like the pattern and have yet to see one that I didn't like.
ReplyDeleteLove your wingspan!!! Now we just need a cold snap to wear it at least around here...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! The pattern and the colors!!!

Just catching up here, after somehow missing that you were back. Your Wingspan is gorgeous, I love the colour shifts, and now (having commented on my process being just like yours!) I'm off to see what yarn I have that I might knit one in.
ReplyDeletePretty colours!
ReplyDeleteLovely! That yarn is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been monogamous with my crochet and never have been since i started crochet. As I have 2 projects on the go right now :)
ReplyDeleteCan't remember the last time you only showed one project on a Wednesday! I've been monogamous this week too :)
ReplyDeleteI love how your wingspan is turning out! And wow, project monogamy is impressive!!
ReplyDeleteAnother gorgeous wingspan! I'm horrible at project monogamy, ha!
ReplyDeleteI'm not very good at knitting monogamy, try as I may. Wingspan is looking really great. I love the pops of blue throughout.
ReplyDeleteLovely! And looks like it's going to be perfectly timed for a Friday post :)
ReplyDeleteI love looking at all the wingspans in progress. Really, I should start one soon!
