So, on to WIPW and Yarn Along...
Sorry for the crappy picture, the rain soaked lighting was not conducive to getting a good shot!
The little white knitting is going to be a nerd wars project. I wanted some garter stitch, across a few stitches so that progress is made quickly ;)
The book is technically a sequel to one I read a little while ago, but I think sequel is the wrong word. It takes place at the same sort of time as Autumn, but follows different characters and gives a little bit more information about the zombie apocalypse that wasn't in the first book. I'm enjoying it :)
As ever, if you want more lovely knitting and yarn along content, head to Tami's and Ginny's *smiles*
The colour of that cowl is ridiculously beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the cowl especially the color. I agree that some cowls stretch and need to be longer (wider??) to compensate for that.
ReplyDeleteYour cowl looks beautiful. And sending big love your way having read yesterday's post. I can't imagine what it is like for you, yet it has touched my life with loved ones suffering depression. Please take care xxx
ReplyDeleteGreat cowl and I agree with making it longer, it will wear so nicely.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cheery green for a cowl. I can imagine that you'll be extra warm and sassy when you wear it.
ReplyDeleteWell done on your post yesterday. Your bravery will be an inspiration to those out there also struggling with depression.
It looks like your projects are coming on swimmingly. I love knitting on the train - I spent 7 hours doing exactly that on Saturday and loved every minute (which says a lot considering I was once an agoraphobic!).
ReplyDelete((((HUGS))))
ReplyDeleteReally like the color of your cowl, can't wait to see it finished!
I must recomend this book to my daughter she's really into this kind of novel. The nerd war project sounds interesting too.
ReplyDeleteHappy knitting.
Deb
Beautiful color for the cowl!!!
ReplyDeleteYour cowl is beautiful. I love the color. Your book sounds really interesting. I'll have to read it and the other one. XD
ReplyDeleteGreat color for the cowl. I bet it will be wonderful to wear.
ReplyDeleteThe cowl is coming out great...the color is awesome...can't wait to see the new Nerd Wars project...I've been working on my dissertation...
ReplyDeleteoooh pretty cowl, the colour is awesome. I read through your post yesterday, sending you hugs - depression is hard xxx
ReplyDeleteI love the color of your cowl! It's so beautiful.
ReplyDeletewow, that sounds like a gripping book. Zombies scare me so I will take your word on it!! Happy to see you spending time with the needles and yarn!! I agree with everyone else on the yarn color, very happy.
ReplyDeleteThe cowl is coming along nicely!! Seeing the colors and knowing that it is a boyfriend project makes me want to convince mine to help me dye yarn *tehehe*
ReplyDeleteI love the green in the Cowl. And of course we are always here if you need anything!
ReplyDeleteLovely green! I hope it comes out perfectly :-)
ReplyDeleteThat is such a cool cowl :) Green isn't usually my colour, but I have a real weakness for the brightness of that yarn. It's going to be a good one!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of the cowl. I've tried to "get" the whole cowl thing but I just can't wrap my head around it. I think it's because I would look silly wearing one. It's all good though :)
ReplyDeleteI love the colour of your cowl. Apologies, I didn't see your post yesterday. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to read all the blogs I follow. Big hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteThe more I see of that yarn knitted up the more your boyfriend's awesome dye job inspires me to give dyeing yarn a go! I wonder if I could convince J to try as well, he's got a good eye for colour..
ReplyDeleteWhat Tink Edwards said ... the yarn for your cowl is totally awesome! I'm knitting a scarf too, and progress is slow. I can't even see the difference from one day's photo to the next :) I guess we'll both have to keep plugging away :)
ReplyDeleteWow your cowl is so green, in a good way.
ReplyDeleteI really like how the shades change.
Thanks for sharing. Ali x
