Wednesday Progress

Before I start I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who commented, shared their stories, sent me emails and messages, etc, following my post yesterday. Every single comment means the world to me and I was overwhelmed by the support and encouragement. Thank you. Sincerely.

So, on to WIPW and Yarn Along...

Sorry for the crappy picture, the rain soaked lighting was not conducive to getting a good shot!

As expected, I added a couple more inches to my cowl during a couple of train journeys at the weekend. It looks massively long for a cowl, I know, but the way it stretches means it needs to be even longer.

The little white knitting is going to be a nerd wars project. I wanted some garter stitch, across a few stitches so that progress is made quickly ;)

The book is technically a sequel to one I read a little while ago, but I think sequel is the wrong word. It takes place at the same sort of time as Autumn, but follows different characters and gives a little bit more information about the zombie apocalypse that wasn't in the first book. I'm enjoying it :)

As ever, if you want more lovely knitting and yarn along content, head to Tami's and Ginny's *smiles*

  2. Love the cowl especially the color. I agree that some cowls stretch and need to be longer (wider??) to compensate for that.

  5. That is a cheery green for a cowl. I can imagine that you'll be extra warm and sassy when you wear it.
Well done on your post yesterday. Your bravery will be an inspiration to those out there also struggling with depression.

  6. It looks like your projects are coming on swimmingly. I love knitting on the train - I spent 7 hours doing exactly that on Saturday and loved every minute (which says a lot considering I was once an agoraphobic!).

  19. That is such a cool cowl :) Green isn't usually my colour, but I have a real weakness for the brightness of that yarn. It's going to be a good one!

  20. I love the color of the cowl. I've tried to "get" the whole cowl thing but I just can't wrap my head around it. I think it's because I would look silly wearing one. It's all good though :)

  21. I love the colour of your cowl. Apologies, I didn't see your post yesterday. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to read all the blogs I follow. Big hugs to you.

  22. The more I see of that yarn knitted up the more your boyfriend's awesome dye job inspires me to give dyeing yarn a go! I wonder if I could convince J to try as well, he's got a good eye for colour..

  23. What Tink Edwards said ... the yarn for your cowl is totally awesome! I'm knitting a scarf too, and progress is slow. I can't even see the difference from one day's photo to the next :) I guess we'll both have to keep plugging away :)
