Viva Las Socks

I realised that I don't think I ever shared my finished Vegas Socks (named for the fact that the yarn was bought in, guess where... Las Vegas *laughs*)

Well, here they are:

Pattern - as usual, 64 stitches, toe up, short row heel. Essentially the pattern I keep in my head and therefore don't have t think much about ;)

Yarn: Tofutsies. I've mentioned it before, and it's quite an interesting yarn: 50% superwash wool, 25% soy silk, 22.5% cotton, 2.5% chitin (made from shrimp and crab shells). The soy silk and cotton makes these quite a light sock, not as warm as my more wooly ones. They are lovely and soft too :)

  1. You can see they have a different texture to woolly socks, I think I'll have to try that yarn soon. Love the colour!

  2. Those are adorable! How do they feel when you wear them? That is an interesting fiber blend.

  3. Interesting sounding yarn. Lovely socks, I'm currently working on a plain pair as well, mindless sock knitting can be a very good thing at times :-)

  10. Vivid pair. Makes me think of Vegas show girls in big, flamingo colored headdresses.
