Overdue Update and Exciting New Venture

Hi again, poor neglected blog ;)

I mentioned in my last post that things have been particularly busy lately. And they really have been! But hopefully everything is a little bit more settled now. Cunning boyfriend and I have moved into our new house, which is starting to feel like home now. Especially the funky new office.

I have new yarns, new projects and new toys to show off, although I will post them separately so I don't use up all my content at once *laughs* Most of the new yarn comes from my trip to Unravel, where I met up with Tink and Sarah and had a great time :) Again, more on that later.

Saving my most exciting news for last - I left my job and I'm starting a new venture as a freelance writer. I'm really excited about it, and have spent the last few days getting my new website, twitter and facebook page set up *grins*

web: www.nataliehowells.com
twitter: @NHowellsFW
facebook: Natalie Howells Freelance Writer

I'd love any feedback you might have. Everything's still a bit of a work in progress but constructive criticism is most welcomed.

I'm also available and excited for any guest blogging opportunities - so if you'd like me to write a post for your blog (on any topic, I'm very flexible *laughs*), just let me know. Either leave a comment or use the contact form on the website and I'll get back to you :)

I'll be back on Monday with actual knitting-related content.

  2. What an exciting step to take. Good luck with your new endeavour. I had a quick peek at the website and on the home page the tile movement is much too fast. You don't have time to read the heading and then click on the "read more" bit. You might want to see if you can slow it down a bit.

  3. Best wishes and good luck in your new adventure. I agree with the last comment that the banner on your website moves too fast. I wasn't able to read it all.

  8. Congrats on the successful move, I'll bet it was hectic! Knowing you, you kept calm and knitted on. Also, good for you taking that leap into your dream job! You are so brave and if you are passionate (which I can tell you are) then you should really do well! Personally I think that the website is a great start, but it is lacking your style (and you have great style), it feels like a room no one has moved into yet. I love that it has a nice photo of you on it!

  9. I think your website looks really professional, as it should. I've created my own recently, completely different subject matter I'm selling my handmade scarves and donating 25% of sales of purple scarves to a charity supporting fibromyalgia.
Good luck with your new adventure!

  10. Having read this I thought it was rather enlightening.

I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put
this article together. I once again find myself personally spending a lot of time both reading and commenting.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!
